Please join us for a Friends of the Library meeting on Tuesday, July 12 at 6 pm at the Library.
We will be discussing our Food Stand at Hammond Heartland Days, which is our major fundraiser for the year. We are also looking for new ideas for fundraising and community events!
You do not need to be an “official” member of the Friends group to attend; everyone who loves the Hammond Library is welcome!
Please join us for the first Friends of the Library meeting of 2011! We will meet next Monday, January 10 at 6:00 pm at the Hammond Library. On the agenda for this meeting:
* Choosing a new meeting night/time
* Election of new officers
* Fundraising schedule for 2011: we have new ideas, and we need your help!
* Update on new building progress
Bring your calendars so we can schedule help for the next several fundraising activities. Invite a friend to join you – we need everyone to get on board with us!

Don’t forget to attend the Friends of the Library meeting on Monday at 6:30 pm at the Hammond Library! We will be finalizing plans for the upcoming Holiday Gift sale. Please bring your ideas for easy, inexpensive “gifts-in-a-jar” or other items we could sell at the front desk of the Library as a fundraiser. Hope to see you there!
The next Friends of the Library meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 11 at 6:30 pm at the Library. We will be wrapping up our Heartland Days and Costume Shop events, as well as planning our holiday fundraiser. Please plan to attend, and help us plan our upcoming year!

Hi, all! Join us for the next Friends of the Library meeting on Monday, August 10, 6:30 pm at the Hammond Library. On our agenda will be setting a date for the upcoming Scrapbooking Day, finalizing the hours, location and details. This event was a success when we held our first one in February! If you attended that Scrapbooking Day, please feel free to post your comments, good or bad, here. We have the chance to change things up a bit – day of the week, how long the event is, etc, so now is your chance to let your wishes be known. The Hammond Library Friends Group will be meeting again on Monday, July 13 at 6:30 pm. We always meet at the back of the library. You are all welcome to join us! At our next meeting, we will be finalizing our Christmas in July Garage Sale plans, as well as working on our plans for Hammond Heartland Days in August.
