Why Cook Dinner?

During the Heartland Days festivities, there is just no need to cook dinner!  Join us on Wed, Friday and Saturday for low-cost dinners at the Library instead!

Wednesday beginning at 5:30 pm, the Friends of the Library will be hosting a food stand featuring walking tacos, nachos, PB & J sammies, lemonade and water for a low price.   And, ice cream sundaes will be available for dessert!  Come before the Teddy Bear Band begins their show, and treat your family to dinner!

Friday from 6-8 pm also features the Friends Food Stand.  You can also stop by for Waltz Farm Roasted Corn on Friday night – yum!

Saturday, stop by to shop for craft items at the Craft Fair, and visit the Library food stand for lunch.  We will have hot beef, hot pork and sloppy joe plates for a low price, and (as with the Friends food stand) proceeds will benefit the Library!  Waltz Farm corn will also be available during this time.

Sunday, you can enjoy Waltz Farm corn again beginning at 10 am.  And, of course, stay for the Parade on Davis St. later in the afternoon.  The Hammond restaurants will be offering specials and plenty of great food.

Heartland Days Fun

The Hammond Library hosted some fun events this year over the Hammond Heartland Days celebration!  From the Teddy Bear Band to ice cream treats to carnival games, it was a fun week around here!  We got some great pics, and I will be posting them here over the next week or so.  Check back often to see if you can find someone you know in them!  These photos were snapped by Michelle Nyseth – thanks so much!
