Storytime Begins September 6

Storytime begins again the week of September 5; join us for a story and a craft project each week!

You will find the weekly theme on the Children’s Program page link

This year, Storytime will be a little bit different than in years past.

Both Toddlers and Preschoolers can join us each Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

Toddlers (age 2-3) can join us for Storytime each Wednesday at 9:30 am;

Preschoolers (age 4-5) have their own Storytime on Friday mornings at 10:30 am.  We added this time to accommodate those children taking part in the 4K Program at school this fall!

While children of different ages are welcome, the story and craft each session will be geared toward a specific age group.  We can’t wait to see you this fall!

Happy National Library Week

How will YOU be celebrating National Library Week?  If you enjoy the resources your Library has to offer your community, consider helping out as a volunteer!

We are gearing up for our upcoming summer and fall events, and we NEED YOU to make them successful!

Are you able to help with one event per year?  Would you rather help out at the Library during the week?  Do you enjoy working with children?  Like to cook?

WE NEED YOU!

Please let us know if you are willing to help out as a volunteer this year.  We are updating our volunteer database, and we need to hear from you!  Even if you have helped in the past, we would like to make sure you are still interested – do let us know.

There is no committent required – we will contact you as needs arise, and you have decide if it will fit into your schedule.  That’s it.  It’s not high-pressure.  It IS fun.

Here is how you can let us know you are willing to help:

We would love to get your email address as a primary source of communication, if possible.  It makes things much easier to be able to reach our entire database in one email rather than dozens of phone calls!

Our upcoming events include children’s games at the Yellowstone Trail Social on June 19 and a food stand at Hammond Heartland Days in August.  We also have many summer programs coming up, and we can always use extra help getting ready for them!

Thanks in advance for considering what you can do to make your Library an even better place to visit.  We appreciate you all!
